Dock Diving - Big Air

Big Air is the long jump equivalent for canine athletes. At speeds over 20 mph, Big Air dogs catapult themselves off the end of a 40-foot dock into a 28,000-gallon pool or pond to retrieve a floatable, retrievable object, like their favorite toy. Jump distances are measured from the end of the dock to where the base of the dog’s tail breaks the water. Big Air is all about a positive release of energy. The current Big Air World Record is 28' 10".

To be successful you must build confidence. Start simple and progress slowly in height, distance, and difficulty.

We can help you and your dog with:

  • Acclimation to the dock.
  • Hitting the end of the dock.
  • Getting height.
  • Increasing distance.
  • Extreme Vertical training.
  • Speed Retrieve
  • Sit/Stay.
  • Timing.
  • Technique.
