Speed Retrieve™ is a relatively new sport for dock dogs competitions. Racing against the clock, each competing dog runs, jumps, swims, and retrieves an object (usually a duck) located on an extender at the end of the pool, at a distance of 58 feet from the 20 foot mark on the dock. The current Speed Retrieve World Record is 4.770 seconds.
Here at Barkby Plungers we have a regulation set-up for Speed Retrieve. If you are competing in Big Air, and Extreme Vertical, adding the Speed Retrieve competition will allow your dog to compete in the Iron Dog competitions.
